When a missionary becomes detached from the One who is life, meaningful ministry evaporates. The key to fruit bearing is abiding; the quality of the fruit is directly related to the consistency of the abiding.
What happens when cross-cultural workers become spiritually anemic? Their ministry becomes more informational than relational. More mechanical. Operating on autopilot. Not only does their own relationship with the Lord suffer, but so does everyone downstream.
